Terms & Conditions
Website: anforantica.it | Last updated: 28 August 2026
1. Seller and Scope
These Terms & Conditions govern purchases made through Anforantica. They apply to both consumer (B2C) and business (B2B) transactions, subject to the distinctions stated below and any mandatory applicable law.
Azienda Agricola Asse d'O Società Agricola a Responsabilità Limitata
116 Villa Santa Maria, 53026 Pienza (SI), Italy
Partita IVA: 01591550528
Email: olive.oil [at] anforantica [dot] it
By placing an order, you agree to these Terms. Mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.
2. Products
Anforantica offers premium olive oil and related presentation products, including olive oil presented in decorative amphorae. We endeavour to describe products accurately. Due to artisanal or natural characteristics, packaging, colour, texture, finish and other non-essential characteristics may show minor variations; such variations are not defects where the product remains consistent with its description and intended characteristics.
3. Food Product Information
Customers should review the ingredients, quantity, origin, storage instructions, best-before information, allergens and other legally required food information made available on the product page, label or packaging.
4. Prices, Taxes and International Charges
Prices are shown in the currency indicated on the Website. Applicable taxes are handled according to destination, customer status and applicable tax law. Shipping and other calculable charges will be shown before the order is submitted. International orders may be subject to import VAT, customs duties, brokerage or governmental charges. Unless checkout expressly states otherwise, destination-country charges are the customer's responsibility.
5. Orders and Contract Formation
Website product displays are invitations to place an order and do not necessarily constitute binding offers. After submission, you may receive an electronic acknowledgement. A sales contract is concluded when the order is accepted in accordance with the checkout process.
We may refuse or cancel an order where reasonably necessary, including unavailable stock, obvious pricing errors, suspected fraud, payment failure, inability to deliver, or legal/regulatory restrictions. If payment has already been received for an order we cannot accept, the relevant amount will be refunded.
6. Payment
Available payment methods may include Visa, Mastercard and other supported cards, Stripe, PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay and bank transfer. Not every method will necessarily be available in every country; the options displayed at checkout govern the transaction.
7. Shipping & Delivery
Orders are dispatched from Italy to destinations made available during checkout. Depending on destination and availability, we may use DHL, UPS, FedEx, Poste Italiane or another suitable postal, courier or logistics provider. We may select or change the carrier where reasonably necessary to fulfil an order.
Shipping costs are calculated or displayed during checkout where possible. Delivery times are estimates unless a binding delivery date is expressly agreed. Customs processing, remote destinations, weather, carrier disruption and circumstances outside our reasonable control may affect delivery times.
Customers are responsible for providing a complete and accurate delivery address. Additional costs caused by an incorrect address, refusal of delivery or repeated unsuccessful delivery attempts may be charged where permitted by law and attributable to the customer.
8. Inspection and Transport Damage
Customers are encouraged to inspect the external condition of the parcel promptly. If the parcel or amphora arrives visibly damaged, broken or leaking, please photograph the external package, shipping label, internal protective packaging, damaged product, seal and any leakage, and contact olive.oil [at] anforantica [dot] it as soon as reasonably possible. This request does not limit mandatory statutory rights.
9. Consumer Right of Withdrawal
Where EU/EEA consumer law or other mandatory law grants a consumer a right of withdrawal from a distance contract, the consumer may exercise it within the legally applicable period. Under the standard EU distance-selling regime this is normally 14 days from the date on which the consumer, or a third party designated by the consumer other than the carrier, takes physical possession of the goods.
No reason is required. To exercise the right, send an unequivocal statement to olive.oil [at] anforantica [dot] it before expiry of the applicable period, identifying the order and the goods concerned.
10. Sealed Amphora and Olive Oil
Anforantica amphorae containing olive oil are supplied with protective sealing designed to preserve product integrity and provide evidence of opening. If you intend to exercise a change-of-mind right of withdrawal, do not open the amphora and do not remove, break or materially damage the protective seal.
Where an amphora has been opened or its protective seal removed or broken, the statutory right of withdrawal may be excluded where and to the extent permitted by applicable law, including where the product constitutes sealed goods that are not suitable for return for reasons of health protection or hygiene once unsealed. This provision does not exclude rights relating to goods that were defective, damaged, leaking, non-conforming or incorrectly supplied.
11. Return Procedure and Costs
For a statutory withdrawal, contact olive.oil [at] anforantica [dot] it with your order number, customer name, product and an unequivocal statement of withdrawal. Unless applicable law requires otherwise or Anforantica agrees to cover them, the consumer bears the direct cost of return shipping for a change-of-mind withdrawal.
Goods must be securely packaged and returned within the legally applicable period. Where applicable, the customer may be responsible for diminished value caused by handling beyond what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods. Please contact us before sending a return so that appropriate return instructions can be provided.
12. Refunds
Following a valid statutory withdrawal, reimbursement will be made in accordance with applicable law, normally using the same payment method used for the original transaction. Where permitted by law, reimbursement may be withheld until the goods are received or evidence of return is provided. Additional delivery costs resulting from a delivery method more expensive than the least expensive standard option offered by us need not be refunded where permitted by law.
13. Damaged, Incorrect or Non-Conforming Goods
The withdrawal rules are separate from statutory rights concerning defective, damaged or non-conforming goods. If you receive a broken amphora, leaking olive oil, an incorrect product, a product damaged before or during delivery, or a product materially different from its description, contact olive.oil [at] anforantica [dot] it. Mandatory legal remedies and guarantees remain unaffected.
14. B2B Sales
Where a customer purchases primarily for purposes relating to a trade, business, craft or profession, consumer-specific statutory rights, including the consumer right of withdrawal, may not apply. Specific B2B terms agreed in writing may prevail over these general Terms where expressly stated.
15. Intellectual Property
The Anforantica name, branding, Website design, product photography, text, illustrations, packaging designs, visual materials and other protected content may be protected by intellectual-property rights. No rights are transferred except the limited right to use the Website for its intended purpose. Unauthorised commercial reproduction or use is prohibited to the extent permitted by law.
16. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by Italian law. For consumers, this choice does not deprive the consumer of mandatory protections granted by the law that would otherwise apply. Jurisdiction is determined in accordance with applicable law, including mandatory consumer-jurisdiction rules.
17. Contact
